Stand Up, Concerts, Food & Wine and Storytelling Jackson Hole

#WonderWednesday February 27

If a fun night of stand up and magic interests you, be at The Wort Hotel’s Silver Dollar Bar on Wednesday, February 27th from 7:30 – 9:30 pm.  Laff Staff legends Josh Griffith & Nick Staron take the stage with magician/comedian Gerson Giron and local wild man Crazy Tom.  The show is free, so come early for dinner and stay late for a drink.

Joshua Radin & Lissie with Special Guest Lily Kershaw take center stage at Center for the Arts on Wednesday, February 27th at 7:00 pm.

Love and the complications surrounding it have long proven to be Joshua Radin’s songwriting forte. Though he never intended to be a live performer, there was little choice when the first song he ever wrote, “Winter,” was featured on an episode of “Scrubs.”  And when he played at Ellen DeGeneres’ wedding at her personal request, let’s say the rest his history.

Joshua is joined by Lissie who is releasing her fourth studio album Castles on March 23. The new music follows the release of her 2016 album My Wild West, which received widespread critical praise.  She has opened for Lenny Kravitz and performed on Twin Peaks and countless evening talk shows.

This is a new creative take on fly fishing!  The Lady Angler of WyDaho are gathering at 6:00 pm February 28th at Pizzeria Caldera in Jackson. The evening starts with a meet and greet and food, and then from 6:45-9:00pm attendees will be work on a different type of fly tying, creating a string art fly.   LAWD cofounder, Christy Carlson of Pioneer Anglers will provide an overview on the four different flies featured in the projects. RSVPs are required, visit dailywonder.org for more details.

Jackson Hole’s Food & Wine Festival is this weekend and on Saturday evening Taste of Teton Village.   The walk-around tasting features 15 top restaurants serving their favorite winter inspired dishes, while multiple beverage booths pour over 60 selections of wine, beer, and cocktails. Local DJ Rocky Vertone will be spinning some tunes to get you in the Après frame of mind! The event is held in the Four Season’s ballroom from 5-8 pm.

First Sundays at the National Museum of Wildlife Art will feature entertainment by the Jackson Hole Choral Singers at 1:00 pm on March 3rd.   There are fun events for the entire family and touring the museum’s incredible exhibits is always a treat.

The Moth Mainstage returns for its 4th year to Center for the Arts on Monday and Tuesday, March 4th and 5th at 7:00 pm.  The Moth features true stories, told live and without notes by five recognized storytellers and emerging writers. Their stories honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience, and to satisfy a vital human need for connection.

It’s a pizza party for the whole family at Center for the Arts and the Jim Gill Family Concert, Contagious Tunes on Tuesday, March th at 5 pm.  Bring your blanket for the indoor pizza picnic and enjoy lots of singing, finger plays, and silly dancing at this concert for kids in the 3-8-year-old range and their families.
