About the Artist
Carrie is a wildlife artist based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she enjoys photographing and observing the wildlife that appears in her work. As witness to the wonders of nature and the countless heart pounding moments, Carrie translates her experiences through the application of dramatic colors and presence while maintaining realistic confirmation of the animal. Rich colors and textures are used with a variety of mediums, including gold leaf to achieve her vision. With her contemporary style she hopes to create a relationship between the painting and its viewer and encourage a love for wildlife and wildlife art in modern design. Surrounded by the inspiration of wildlife, horses and wide open spaces she paints in both her home studio at the edge of Grand Teton National Park, and in her public studio within Gallery Wild.
